Josh Knotts, professional illusionist and magician, has entertained audiences using his years of experience in theatre and the magical arts. He constructs ingenious illusions with highly developed skill.
Knotts has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from West Virginia University with an emphasis in Creative Dramatics, and uses the drama and emotion of theatre to enhance his performance. His interest in magic began when he was just six years old, and now 18 years later, he is living his dream as a working entertainer.
Knotts is a member of the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and is starting a magic chapter for interested magicians in the Morgantown/Fairmont area. He devotes himself to serving the community with entertainment, often seen at events such as the Special Olympics, Relay for Life, and West Virginia University Children's Hospital at Ruby Memorial.
Knotts recently attended the 2006 World Championships of Magic in Stockholm, Sweden. A few of his most stunning accomplishments include driving blindfolded through Pittsburgh and escaping from a straightjacket while suspended upside down. In May 2004, Knotts escaped from a secured crate, handcuffed and bound, that was lowered into the Monongahela River, where he came face to face with his fear of drowning.
When viewing Knotts' performance, audiences will experience escape acts, large-scale illusions, magic involving animals, and comical audience participation
